Erik Parian

"Doin Fine" is Out Now

Erik didn’t ever plan on writing music.  He  spent most of his life in Northern New Jersey treating music as a means to escape by listening, not creating.

It was his senior year at Rutgers University when he met his muse, and found the other side of music.

After a few years of learning guitar, writing some tunes and playing them for whoever would show up, Erik left behind the world he knew for Nashville, TN.  He spent his first months living out of his car; performing on the street and writing about his experiences.

Erik's influences include; Chris Cornell, Sublime, Nothing but Thieves, Young the Giant, Allen Stone, Maroon 5, Dispatch, Missio, Nirvana, Collective Soul, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Linkin Park, Alanis Morissette, Young the Giant, Incubus, Jack Johnson, and his parent’s massive collection of classic rock and Beatles-heavy morning mixes.  His music combines sounds from his acoustic singer/songwriter beginnings with modern pop/ alternative.

Parian has honed the vision in his head into a relatively smooth ride—leaving the listener itching for the more explosive moments he’s capable of.   Lyrically, his songs seem to dig into the darker moments of his life in order to resurface with some sense of positivity.

Erik and his band are currently working on a full length album.
